More Information about the presentation
Dr. Bonnie Duran is Director of the Center for Indigenous Health Research at IWRI and an associate professor at the UW School of Public health and IWRI.
Dr. Duran’s presentation is based on the work of Drs. Perry and Goleman and is about the stages of intellectual growth during the college years and beyond. The presentation will briefly discuss the 4 stages of intellectual development, critical thinking, and also other forms of cognition such as emotional and social intelligence. These ideas are presented as one way (among many) to assess strengths and challenges as one progresses through university studies. Discussion and examples will help the audience apply the concepts of intellectual development to their own lives.
