Student Training and Lecture Series
The Indigenous Wellness Research Institute (IWRI) and Partnerships for Native Health are offering a Student Research Training Series and “STEAM” Career Series to undergraduate and graduate students at the UW. Topics include: community-based participatory research, qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, EndNote literature searches, authorship, and more!
The Student Training and Lecture Series is aimed at undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Washington who are: interested in a career in research; want to learn more about community-based participatory research; and/or are interested in meeting Indigenous professionals in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) and learning about their journeys.
The meetings take place in the Winter and Spring Quarters on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Wednesday of each month, from 12:30 to 1:30 pm (except during academic breaks). Research training will occur on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday and STEAM Career discussions will occur on the 3rd Wednesday. Lunch will be provided. An RSVP is required!
