Angelique Day, PhD, MSW, (Ho Chunk Descendent) has been a faculty affiliate of IWRI since September 2017. Her indigenous focused research projects to date since joining IWRI include: Lead evaluator of CORE Teen, an in-service foster/adoptive parent training curriculum in partnership with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians; curriculum designer, Healthy Transitions, an independent living program for youth transitioning to adulthood, in partnership with Yakama Nation; Lead evaluator of the National Training and Development Curriculum, a pre-service foster/adoptive parent training curriculum, in partnership with the Salt River Pima Maricopa Tribe; and lead evaluator, kinship navigator, in partnership with the Port Gamble Sklallam Tribe. Dr. Day also serves as a member of the tribal advisory board for the National Child Welfare Workforce Institute, a project managed by the University of Albany, and owned by the US DHHS, Children’s Bureau.
